What causes the problem of girth gear for rotary kiln and ball mill?

Girth gear is a common component, no matter what kind of mechanical equipment is almost inseparable from the girth gear to "push the flames." However, due to the long working time of the girth gear and the continuous twisting and friction, it is easy to cause serious wear, fracture and other failures. So what causes the failure to occur?

1. Caused by wear of the connecting parts.

The girth gear is connected to the kiln body through a spring plate pin shaft. The ring gear itself is manufactured in sections and integrated with a pair of screws. After the pin shaft and the counter screw, these connecting parts are worn out, the ring gear parts become loose, and the part of the ring gear sinks, which will also cause the tooth tip clearance to become smaller and cause vibration.

2. Caused by kiln bending.

Kiln bending vibration usually occurs during cold test runs, and the hand-feel vibration interval is synchronized with the direction of the kiln bending. The kiln can be heated up to open, and the vibration will be eliminated by itself in a short time.

3. Tooth thickness wear causes vibration.

This should be considered from the reduction of the tooth tip clearance. Obviously, after the tooth thickness is worn out, it causes a "wearing" head clearance. Because this head gap is worn out and has the nature of running-in, a slight change in the center distance of the two gears will cause the tip of the tooth to vibrate. It is difficult to explain the problem with the usual method of measuring the tooth tip clearance caused by tooth thickness wear. The tip clearance may be very large at this time, but the vibration does exist, and the hand feels continuous and rhythmic vibration.

The method of judgment is to reverse the kiln. After the reversal, if the vibration is eliminated immediately, the judgment can be made. When handling, just move the pinion bearing out a little to increase the center distance.

The above is the analysis of the reasons for the failure of the large gear ring by the Xinxiang Great Wall Machinery cement machinery parts manufacturer. In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, the operator must develop regular maintenance of the equipment and parts, especially the lubricating oil of the parts. It can not only help the equipment to minimize the degree of wear, but also prevent the equipment from rusting, and effectively improve the service life and work efficiency of the equipment!
