In fact, there are gaps in the belts on the rotary kiln. Some users may not find that the existence of the belt gaps is because the transmission mode of the equipment adopts mechanical transmission, not electric transmission like other equipment. Due to the use of mechanical transmission to transmit kinetic energy to the equipment, it is necessary to rely on tires, and the weight of the equipment itself is not light. Then the problem comes. When multiple wheels drive the equipment to run, they need to rotate at high speed under the action of gears. If each wheel belt is too close, it will cause the wheel belt to rotate at high speed. Larger friction force, so that the tires of the equipment are easier to wear during production. In order to avoid this phenomenon in production, the measures taken are to leave a gap between each tire of the equipment. The main purpose is to reduce wear between the tires.
Why do we need to control the clearance of the tires?
Since the rotary kiln is a complex thermal equipment, the force on the cylinder at the wheel belt is complex, and the change of the ellipticity of the cylinder at the wheel belt actually exists. Factors such as creep and wear accelerated the change of the gap between the tire and the backing plate, resulting in the destruction of the extrusion and tensile stress between the internal kiln linings, resulting in the falling off of the refractory bricks and affecting the safe operation of the rotary kiln.
If the gap is large, the deformation of the cylinder will increase, and the stress of the weld between the backing plate and the rotary kiln cylinder will increase, resulting in fracture and shortening the service life of the fire brick; at the same time, the relative sliding between the tire and the backing plate will increase. , increasing wear. If the gap is too small, the expansion of the cylinder will cause interference, and because of the necking phenomenon, the rotary kiln cylinder will also be greatly deformed.
That is to say, no matter what kind of deformation, it will cause the loosening of the refractory bricks, the arrangement is distorted and broken, resulting in the dangerous accident of the refractory bricks falling off, and even more serious, it will cause cracks or even fractures in the rotary kiln shell, resulting in damage to the entire rotary kiln shell.
